Rootfolio is a plant collection app for iOS: scan a plant, get an AI identification, and keep a living passport of your collection with care reminders, growth photos, and a journal.

Free scans and Rootfolio Plus

Every phone gets 10 free AI plant scans per month. Rootfolio Plus removes the limit, billed monthly or yearly through your Apple account. Saving and caring for plants you add manually is always free.

Managing your subscription

Subscriptions are handled by Apple. To cancel or change plans, open Settings on your iPhone, tap your name, then Subscriptions. Cancelling keeps Plus active until the end of the paid period. If you reinstall the app or switch phones, tap Restore Purchases on the upgrade screen.

Common questions

A scan gave the wrong plant. Identification is AI-based and works best with a clear, close photo of leaves or flowers in good light. You can edit any detail on the plant's passport after saving.

Where are my photos kept? On your phone. Your collection is not uploaded anywhere, so deleting the app deletes your collection.

Care reminders aren't showing. Care tasks appear on the Today tab based on each plant's care schedule. Open a plant's passport to adjust its schedule.
